Back-to-back winners of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship, the Serbia women’s national volleyball team, were last week hosted by Republic of Serbia President Aleksandar Vučić in celebration of their victory at the most recent edition of the prestigious tournament.

The event followed Serbia’s 3-0 win over Brazil in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, to claim World Championship gold for the second edition in a row.

The Serbia team’s captain and opposite hitter, Tijana Bošković, who was also named the Most Valuable Player of the last two FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championships, presented a national team jersey featuring the signatures of all the players and members of the coaching staff to the President of Serbia.

Also in attendance were Minister of Youth and Sports in the Serbian Government, Vanja Udovicic, National Olympic Committee of Serbia President Bozidar Maljković, Volleyball Federation of Serbia President Zoran Gajić, Volleyball Federation of Serbia Secretary General Ivan Knežević, Volleyball Federation of Serbia First Vice-President Gyula Mester, and Volleyball Federation of Serbia Vice-President Petar Bogunović.
